Instead of wood base, many prefer metal. More durable, and less problems unlike wood that bends over hot or cold season, also susceptible to termites. Though it is not bad, great job!

Sarking, if properly overlaid from top to bottom, would help, but this should not be the solution in my view. It looks like corrugated iron could have been a better roofing material: no blow-back problems with that.
